Further to close out my review, every visit I get gets so much better.
I truly do believe this is the champion TPT in Birmingham and I'll defend against that. Having been there yesterday night, the usual staff recognised me and my friends and gave us our usual order of triple roast rice.
What even surprised us even more was, the fact that my friend ordered a pancake roll which was an absolute beast! If you can imagine it was a size of a nun chuck! With thick coating, golden and crispy filled with beansprouts and pork.
Despite ordering something that we usually don't get. We were very happy with the service and I never leave the place without an empty plate.
PG is a must for anyone looking to try the Chinese roast meats scene. Especially if you're in a rush or not looking to hurt your wallet!

Literally the best place in Birmingham for roast meats. This place reminds me of the little cafes in the backstreets of Hong Kong. Every time I've been here there have been queues to get in to this tiny cage as it is very popular with the local Chinese students. Ignore the 80s decor, this isn't Wagamamas or Yo Sushi, this is a proper family run business selling real Chinese food (including the infamous 'Window Duck').
Definitely try the Char-Sui or Roast Duck, it really is the best in Chinatown. I have been know to walk in and buy a 'Window Duck' to takeaway... If you're entertaining, the duck here will for sure impress your guests. -

Visited Peach Garden around 3:30 when it wasn't very busy. The food was tasty, the service friendly, and my meal was served very quickly (7 or 8 minutes from order). I had the pork belly and tofu with rice.

I was first taken to Peach Garden back in 2008 when visiting Birmingham and have never looked back.
The staff are fun, friendly and polite, the food is always delicious, the portions are huge and filling and refills of Chinese tea. Recently the prices have increased by 10p or so because of the expansion but neither is a bad thing! Still the best and cheapest crispy pork and roast duck rice in Birmingham in my option.
Whatever you eat you can take away if you can't finish (I often have to do this!) as well as take away options so you can just order to bring away/da bao it haha. -

Always our favourite place to go when shopping in Birmingham. Hong Kong style cafe with generous portions of traditional food for a reasonable price. Always fast and furious service so good for a quick bit to eat. I love a cold lemon tea and a plate of shredded meat with crispy noodles but hold the beansprouts (can't stand them)
